Although in the heat of a Mid-western summer it might be difficult to discern, the festival of Lammas (Aug 1st) marks the end of summer and the beginning of fall. The days now grow visibly shorter and by the time we've reached autumn's end (Oct 31st), we will have run the gamut of temperature from the heat of August to the cold and (sometimes) snow of November. And in the midst of it, a perfect Mid-western autumn.

About the Desert Wind Coven

About the Desert Wind Coven

The Desert Wind Coven is a traditional yet evolving Wiccan circle rooted in decades of sacred practice. Founded in the High Desert of Southern Idaho in the 1980s, our coven now flourishes in Northern Utah, where we continue to honor the turning of the Wheel, the wisdom of the Earth, and the deep currents of magick that flow through all things.

Our practice draws broadly from the Wiccan traditions, including adaptations from Gardnerian rites, while embracing a more inclusive and eclectic approach that honors personal gnosis, ethical magick, and the balance of the divine feminine and masculine. As a coven, we place great value on study, self-responsibility, and reverent ritual...
